Cedar Creek Beauty Claims Crown By KAREN FOWLER Staff Writer MALAKOFF, TEXAS - This morning, Bella Juanita Fowler claimed a much coveted crown as first place recipient in Makeover Contest 2010, held annually in Malakoff, Texas, a small but highly regarded hamlet surrounding Cedar Creek Lake. Said Fowler on receiving the award, "... you can take the girl out of the lake, but yee haw I got me a fish." Fowler's acceptance speech is transcribed below, in full.

I'm, like, waaaaay like, y'all know,...REAL happy like, y'all know, that I was recognized as much for my beauty and ethnic heritage as for that I have, like, ya'll know stayed true to ethics (sic) ethnic stuff even tho a year ago I was, like kidnapped and held at a place where they only eat stuff that's, like cooked, and they don't allow me to eat anything natural like rabbit I catch. This award is not just for me but for the many other kids like me out there. You can take the girl out of the lake, but..YEEHAW! I got me a fish! Thank y'all for taking my picture and stuff.

ADDED NOTE: Simon has been granted a release from prison by Gov. Rick Perry for his brave and selfless acts leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of a terrorist cell he discovered while on the lam. He is now back in protected custody of his mom, dad, brothers and sista!
